"維他命" 健怡可樂



在英國的 Boots, 偶然給我發現...... "Diet Coke + Vitamins"!!!

不含糖份的健怡可樂 + 維他命~~!! 會否真的健康一點?! hm... 我有所保留. 不過, 好似好新奇咁喎!

今次的 trip, 乘搭英國航空. 對於 Club World 的座位編排, 總是有點不滿. 十多小時飛行時段, 仍然有點迫夾的感覺 (可能因為它嘗試做到獨立 cubicle 的樣子). 不知道是否因為 "慳位" 的關係, 座位方向不一 (一半正面, 一半倒後). 根據我的觀察, 二人一起乘搭飛機的, 多半選擇相連面向對方座位 (例如: AB, JK; 也有人選擇 DE, FG). 一個正面, 一個倒頭, 大家面向對方, 好處是方便說話.

若果二人坐在 EF 位置, 並肩而坐的同時, 也各自面向不相識的陌生人. 若果坐位 EF 的人是不相識, 他們不單並排被困在一起, 更是並排而睡 (中間只是一塊小小的屏風)! 哈~~ 當我每次前往洗手間, 我總是覺得坐在 17B 或 17J 的乘客十分可憐. 他們像是 "睡在街邊", 還要是在貼近洗手間的街邊. 亦使人聯想到從前醫院的帆布牀.

這樣的座位設計, 我覺得最大問題是用餐時段. 如果互相對望的人不相識, 大家自然將座位間的屏風拉起. 餐車經過, 有些空中服務員會拉下屏風, 由路邊座位乘客面前遞送食品; 也有些空中服務員將食物, 飲料, 小食等等從屏風上面 (坐在路邊位的乘客的頭頂) 遞送. 每次用餐, 在騷嚴重擾坐在路邊位置的乘客的同時, 我還須小心翼翼的從 "高空" 接過或遞走托盤, 食物, 還有餐具. 既不方便, 也存有一定危險.








我喜歡它的餐前小食 --- Organic Macedonia Nuts.

It's only that Leslie (the very friendly cardiothoracic surgeon) invited me to a game of par 3 nine holes (before I left for airport) with his wife, Joy, and his daughter, Susan, who just graduated from Medical School.

My FIRST trial --- Raclette home Dinner.

Met one of my LLM classmates (for the first time), Dr. Leslie Hamilton, who is a cardiothoracic surgeon working in New Castle, and the President of the Society of Cardiothoracic Surgeons in Great Britain and Ireland. He was very kind and invited me to a home dinner. His wife, Joy, had prepared a Swiss meal, Raclette, which was basically melted cheese on potatoes.

In New Castle, of course got a New Castle T-shirt. It costed 40 pounds, getting the name and number printed costed another 10 pounds.

New Castle Upon Tyne is so named because it is above the River Tyne. There is another New Castle in UK: New Castle Under Lyme, because of the River Lyme. That is a much smaller town.

This was the first time that I visited the University and met my teachers! The School of Law building was a new one, just opened for a few months.

Visited Kew Garden, one of the botanic gardens in London. The tree-top walking path was new. Very nice and big garden.
